Job summary

Goodwin Living in Alexandria, VA is hiring a Home Care PCA to provide non-medical care in residents' homes and in the community. You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, prepare meals, and help with errands and companionship under RN/LPN supervision.

The position requires a PCA certificate, CPR, a high school diploma or GED, and reliable transportation. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential; bilingual not required.

Qualifications

• PCA certificate of completion.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Active CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans to provide non-medical assistance.
• Provide companionship and support for daily living activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Help residents with online shopping and errands.
• Accompany residents to appointments; not driving patients.
• Document changes and report to RN/LPN.
