Job summary

Independence First is seeking a Personal Care Worker to assist clients with daily living activities under RN supervision. You will help with bed transfers, bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility support, ensuring dignity and safety.

Ideal candidates have total care experience, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends, with travel across Milwaukee area counties as needed.

Qualifications

• Total care experience preferred.
• Training in personal care services required.
• Documentation of training or demonstrated skill required.
• Able to travel to Milwaukee area.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers getting in and out of bed.
• Assist with toileting and incontinence care.
• Assist with bathing or showering.
• Assist with eating and meal preparation.
• Assist with grooming and dressing.
• Care for eyeglasses and hearing aids.
• Assist with mobility using gait belt, walker, or cane.
• Perform simple transfers bed to chair and reverse.
• Complete time sheets and document consumer condition.
• Maintain confidentiality of consumer information.
• Travel to Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Waukesha, and Washington counties.
