Job summary

Decena Home Care seeks a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide hands-on daily living support. You will assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, hydration, safety, and companionship while driving or accompanying clients as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a PCA, caregiver, HHA, or CNA is a plus, but training is provided.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, willingness to travel within service area.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and follow infection-control and safety protocols.
• Friendly, clear communicator who respects client dignity and confidentiality.
• Dependable and detail-oriented—you notice small changes that make a big difference.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care Excellence – bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers.
• Mobility & Exercise – ambulation, walker/wheelchair use, ROM routines.
• Nutritious Meal Prep – plan and cook simple, balanced meals; monitor hydration.
• Safe & Tidy Home – light housekeeping, laundry, fall-prevention checks.
• Medication Cueing – reminders and note changes for supervising nurse.
• Meaningful Companionship – conversation, games, escorted outings.
• Errands & Transportation – drive or accompany to appointments, groceries, activities.
