Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Point Pleasant, PA is seeking compassionate, dependable Nurse Technicians for day-shift opportunities supporting medically fragile and technology-dependent children and young adults. This role requires close observation, thoughtful communication, and teamwork to ensure residents’ comfort, dignity, and individuality.

The position offers 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) with every-other-weekend commitments; weekends-only and night options may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21+ years of age required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level.

Responsibilities

• Assist children and young adults with activities of daily living, including personal care, toileting, repositioning, mobility, transfers, and mealtime support.
• Provide individualized care based on each resident’s abilities, needs, preferences, and established care plan.
• Observe residents closely, respond to their personal care needs, and promptly report changes in condition to the nursing supervisor.
• Document personal care, meals, activities, and other services accurately in the resident’s medical record.
• Encourage participation in activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, social, and developmental well-being.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for residents, families, and team members.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary team members to provide consistent, coordinated care throughout the day.
• Assist residents entering and exiting vehicles and, when assigned, safely transport children to appointments in a PSC-owned vehicle.
