Job summary

Providence Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role requires CPCT or equivalent training/certification, BLS, and national PCT certifications upon hire. Preferred candidates have a HS diploma and 6 months of PCT and phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level or current graduate of a state-approved PCT program (CPCT).
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
• Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant as listed (NCPT/NHCA) or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living as delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse.
• Maintain a safe, hazard-free, clean environment to facilitate patient-focused care.
