Visiting Angels Athens is seeking a Patient Care Assistant - PCA to provide compassionate in-home care to seniors in Athens and surrounding areas such as Monroe, Ashland, Bogart, and Watkinsville. Join a local team dedicated to helping families and making a real difference.

Training opportunities in dementia and Alzheimer's care are available, and the position offers personal growth through hands-on caregiving, light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility support, and companionship.

Qualifications

• Must have passion to serve others and be a true caregiver.
• Good knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Ability to assist with housekeeping and meal preparation with dietary awareness.
• Respectful, compassionate, and reliable team member.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with prescribed medications as directed.
• Support mobility and ambulation inside and outside the home.
• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance.
• Help with routine exercises and mobility routines.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input.
• Shop for or accompany clients during shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report unusual incidents promptly.
• Act quickly in emergencies.
