Job summary

Bronson Lakeview Hospital in Paw Paw is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for a part-time day shift (12 hours). Under RN supervision, the PCA provides technical patient care to a defined patient population and supports safety and comfort.

You will assist with ADL, document in EMR, transport, prep for procedures, and participate in admission processes. Requires high school diploma; CNA license preferred; BLS certification by end of orientation; swing bed documentation training may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license preferred; BLS certification required by orientation end date.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides information, direction, and assistance as appropriate.
• Maintains patient/employee safety by following access policies.
• Communicates with the RN regarding patient status and care planning.
• Answers call lights, phones, or intercom to determine needs.
• Serves and collects food trays and assists with feeding.
• Assists with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Prepares patients for surgery or procedures as directed.
• Documents findings in EMR in a timely, accurate manner.
• Participates in admission processes and care delivery.
• Maintains clean, safe, and orderly environment; restocks supplies.
