Job summary

The Trinity Health Muskegon hospital is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support nursing staff and deliver compassionate daily patient care. This full-time position is scheduled for day shift, focusing on patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort under RN supervision.

Ideal candidates hold CNA or related PCA experience, with strong communication skills and a commitment to our mission and core values. You will play a key role in a patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or 6 months direct PCA/Nurse Tech experience.
• Completion of at least 1 clinical rotation in Nursing School or enrollment in Trinity Health Muskegon PCA program.
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
• Able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing divers perspectives.
• Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient call lights for assistance or by rounding.
• Provide or assist patients with personal hygiene including showers, oral hygiene and dressing/undressing.
• Transports patients as needed for procedures, transfers or discharge.
• Maintains a clean and uncluttered environment in patient rooms.
