Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Patient Transporter to support patient movement within the facility. Shifts run 7:00AM-3:00PM and include every other weekend. The role starts at $18.50 per hour and requires strong English communication and safety awareness.

Responsibilities include guiding and escorting patients, transporting them by wheelchair or cart, handling messages and records, and assisting with patient comfort and safety as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety-conscious and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient name, destination, mode of travel, time and data per instructions.
• Escort patients from admitting to designated areas.
• Transport patient with wheelchair or bed to appropriate location.
• Assist patients in walking or assist non-ambulatory patients using wheelchair.
• Transport items such as messages, mail, or medical records as needed.
• Deliver items within the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
