Job summary

Atlantic Health Chilton Medical Center in Pompton Plains, NJ is seeking Per Diem Patient Transporters to assist with moving patients, escort them from admitting to designated areas, carry luggage, and deliver messages and items while ensuring safety throughout patient stays. Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED/Equivalent required or will obtain within 1 year of employment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Occasional work with extreme temperatures and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ascertains patient name, destination, mode of travel, time, and other data.
• Guides or escorts incoming patients to designated areas.
• Carries patient's luggage.
• Assists patient in walking or transports non-ambulatory patients using wheelchair.
• Transports patient within facility during stay.
• Delivers messages, mail, medical records, and other items.
