CHI Mercy Health seeks a Patient Transporter to provide essential patient movement across the campus, ensuring safety and high-quality service. You will identify patients, assist in transfers, and monitor condition while documenting equipment and identifiers during transport.

You will support technologists, maintain clean work areas, and keep transport devices ready for use. The role emphasizes patient safety, professionalism, and reliable patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must maintain patient safety and deliver compassionate, attentive service.
• Must demonstrate reliability and strong observation skills during transport.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely to the imaging department.
• Transports patients back to their rooms upon completion of examination and ensures monitoring devices are reattached.
• Assists technologists in positioning and moving patients using lift systems.
• Documents patient identifiers, oxygen levels, and equipment used prior to transport.
• Maintains clean linen supply, restocks scrubs, and disinfects gurneys and wheelchairs.
