Responsibilities

• Transport patients, secure IVs and equipment, and ensure patient safety.
• Use wheelchairs and other rolling stock to transport patients.
• Demonstrate competency in transporting patients across all age groups.
• Ensure timely and accurate transport to destinations with proper equipment.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff, clinicians, and dispatch.
• Provide patient comfort and privacy, offer blankets, and maintain modesty.
• Report any patient distress or equipment malfunction to nursing staff.
• Maintain and report equipment needing repairs.
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
