Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring Patient Transporters at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, IL. Both full-time and part-time shifts are available, with first and second shifts; hours may vary and include rotating weekends.

Prior patient care and CPR experience preferred. The role involves safe, timely transport of patients and equipment, wheelchairs, age-appropriate competency, and coordination with nursing staff.

Aufgaben

• Properly and safely transports patients, secures IVs, drainage tubes, etc., and secures patient.
• Uses wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out the essential duties.
• Demonstrates competency in transporting all specific age groups.
• Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destination using the proper requested equipment.
• Communicates effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians or reception and dispatch.
• Maintains patient comfort and confidentiality; adheres to HIPPA policies.
• Alerts nursing staff to distress or equipment malfunction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
