Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV is seeking a Transport Aide to move patients between departments and support the Diagnostic Services area. You will gain experience handling IVAC pumps, oxygen equipment, and mobility devices while maintaining accurate transport records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR within 90 days of hire, and completion of a patient care aide program may be preferred. This is a full-time on-site position with a 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a patient care aide training program or equivalent.
• Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department.
• Utilizes RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.
• Knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
• Proficient with stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and PPE.
• Communicates and provides a safe environment for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department.
• Utilizes RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
• Demonstrates proficiency with regards to stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and personal protective equipment.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and provide a safe environment for infants, pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
