Job summary

IU Health in Indiana is seeking a patient transporter to move patients between departments and assist with equipment and transfers. This entry-level role requires no prior experience and demands the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

The position is based at Arnett Hospital with a schedule of Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, plus a rotating weekend every 6th week. Benefits include 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, EAP, and wellness incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Training in oxygen equipment and infection control policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform transfers.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from the point of service, including admissions and discharges.
• Assist with patient handling and equipment transfers.
