Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is seeking a Transporter to join our team. You will be responsible for greeting and transporting patients to and from major departments, while using proper safety techniques and transportation modes.

We value patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role involves assisting clinical personnel in transfers, greeting patients and visitors, and delivering specimens and equipment to the correct destinations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of related experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Ability to lift patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas as requested.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Greet and assist customers throughout the hospital.
• Collect and deliver specimens, orders, requisitions and equipment to appropriate destinations.
