Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Salem, Oregon is seeking a dedicated Patient Transport teammate for a full-time role, 40 hours per week, non-exempt. Schedule features four 10-hour shifts per week with every-other weekend and afternoon shifts.

You will safely transport patients, assist clinical staff, and uphold safety and infection prevention standards to support smooth hospital operations and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Need ability to learn basic transport concepts and infection control practices.
• Must perform physical tasks for extended periods (up to 10 hours/shift).
• Two years of patient transport or patient care experience preferred.
• Customer service experience may be considered in lieu of direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, timely transport of patients via bed, stretcher, or wheelchair.
• Safely transfer patients between bed, stretcher, or wheelchair.
• Alert nursing staff to any signs of distress or equipment malfunction.
