Job summary

Recover-Care seeks a dedicated Transportation Driver to safely move patients, residents, members, and staff between locations as needed. The role emphasizes safe driving, courteous service, and adherence to safety protocols to support daily operations.

The position requires a valid driver’s license, CDL if applicable, CPR certification, and English proficiency for effective communication with patients and teammates. CNA preferred to assist with patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license in good standing.
• Commercial driver’s license (CDL) required.
• Read/write/speak/understand English for safety and patient care.
• TST verification as required by state law and company policy.
• CPR certification.
• CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates the service location’s vehicles in a safe manner when transporting patients, residents, members, and/or employees.
• Assists patients, residents, members and/or employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicles.
• Ascertain safe arrival to the destination.
• Maintains route and mileage logs per Company policy.
• Monitors vehicle safety conditions including fuel and fluids per Company policy.
• Reports any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the Administrator.
• Ensures passengers follow safety procedures, including fastening seat belts, before moving the vehicle.
• Interacts positively with patients, residents, members, families, visitors and the public as a representative of the location.
• Schedules vehicles for routine maintenance as needed.
• Schedules and moves appointments.
• Performs other duties as requested.
