Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required at hire.
• CPR/Basic Life Support required within 14 days.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Verify and transport the proper patient using at least two identifiers.
• Transport patients, charts, specimens and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Notify nursing staff of transport and verify destination and paperwork.
• Assist transfers from bed to transport, following isolation or safety procedures as needed.
• Return patient to bed using proper transfer techniques and ensure basic needs are met.
• Notify dispatcher of completion and follow updates if delays occur.
