Job summary

UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA seeks dedicated Transport Monitor Technicians to safely move patients and support critical care transport with medical equipment. You will work closely with nursing staff to ensure patient safety, comfort and timely handoffs.

Responsibilities include transporting patients, managing monitors and devices, responding to emergencies, and maintaining documentation. A high school diploma and reliable interpersonal skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer knowledge is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed or ambulatory assist.
• Operate with IVs, oxygen, monitors, ventilators and related equipment.
• Assist with transport documentation and patient handoffs to units.
• Respond to code blue, rapid response and stroke alerts as needed.
• Maintain a safe, aseptic and clean environment during transport.
