Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking staff to transport patients and equipment throughout the facility. You will monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients on transport and assist with related duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include (1) moving patients on cardiac monitors to testing sites and back, (2) delivering equipment and specimens via pneumatic tube, (3) assisting patients and visitors, and (4) maintaining transport devices.

Qualifications

• BLS certification preferred.
• Act 34 background clearance required.
• Act 33 FBI background clearance required.
• Act 73 FBI fingerprinting clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients on cardiac monitors from rooms to testing sites and back, interpreting ECG rhythms according to procedure.
• Delivers equipment and specimens to requesting department using the pneumatic tube system.
• Provides information and directions to patients and visitors.
• Maintains transportation equipment in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
