Job summary

Humana Inc is seeking a Patient Transport Driver in Macon, GA to provide safe, efficient rides for patients to medical appointments. You will coordinate with patients by phone, assist them onto vehicles, and ensure secure travel while maintaining records of trips and mileage.

Qualifications

• Professional experience with a commercial vehicle as a Driver.
• Basic computer and smartphone/tablet skills.
• Ability to transport patients safely and efficiently, incl. wheelchairs.
• Flexible schedule with potential overtime, including weekends/evenings.
• Good driving record and knowledge of local streets.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Basic mechanical skills to inspect vehicles daily.
• Valid state driver's license and personal vehicle liability insurance.
• TB screening requirement for Humana/Senior Bridge program.
• Florida associates require ACHA Level II Background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Contact patients by phone and arrange pick-up times.
• Transport patients to doctors' appointments.
• Stay in touch with Transportation Supervisors by radio for schedule changes.
• Assist patients entering/exiting vehicle and operate lift gate for wheelchairs.
• Maintain daily mileage, trips, passengers, and destinations logs.
• Check and maintain van daily for safety and cleanliness.
