Job summary

Las Mercedes Management in Florida is seeking a Driver to operate a company vehicle and transport patients. The role includes daily vehicle checks, assisting patients, and ensuring safe, on-time transportation.

Ideal candidates hold a valid commercial Class E license, have an insurable driving record, and possess at least two years of commercial driving experience. Knowledge of DOT regulations and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid commercial Class E driver’s license.
• Must have an insurable driving record.
• At least 2 years previous commercial driving experience.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complies with local traffic regulations.
• Must escort patients to and from patient/referral appointments.
• Inspect vehicle on a daily basis and check gas, oil, and water before departure.
• Assist patients to enter and leave vehicle and holds umbrellas in wet weather.
• Keep vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.
• Provide excellent customer service through a well-organized and efficient transportation department.
• Maintains a safe and healthful working environment by promoting safety at all levels of the operation and conducting required training per OSHA and division standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must revise patient transportation list and ensure patients return home safely.
