Job summary

Acadia Healthcare seeks a Transporter to safely move patients to appointments, admissions, and discharges at our Texas facilities. You will also transport staff and supplies, and complete transportation documents.

Ensure all passengers wear seat belts, maintain vehicle logs, and report maintenance issues. Deliver a compassionate, professional service with patient safety as a top priority.

Valid driver’s license and CPR certification are required; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
• Ensure passengers wear seatbelts before vehicle start.
• Drive vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment as needed.
• Respond to on-call schedule and complete transportation documentation.
• Maintain vehicle logs and report maintenance issues.
• Keep company vehicles clean and functional.
• Maintain professional, empathetic attitude and address patient concerns.
