The University of Rochester is seeking a part-time Transportation Center Worker to support patient transport and supply functions at 220 Hutchison Rd, Rochester, NY 14620. The role involves escorts and transports across clinical areas, delivering specimens and equipment, and assisting with nursing and support tasks.

Schedule is rotating with 16 hours per week. Under supervision, you will work in various areas within the Transportation Center, handling carts, beds, and equipment, and supporting

Qualificações

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to push, pull, and lift patients, supplies and equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Escort and transport patients between units, x-ray, ED, OR, and other areas.
• Assist nursing staff with restrained patients and moving heavy patients; transport deceased patients.
• Pickup and deliver items such as specimens, records, requisitions, patient mail and pharmaceuticals.
• Deliver supplies and equipment from the Equipment Center and set up equipment.
• Distribute meals to patients and assist with beds and stocking linen.
• Perform cleaning of equipment as directed.
• Send and deliver carts on the supply transport system.
• Perform duties as clothing room clerk.
