Job summary

Prisma Health seeks an attentive billing associate to manage patient registration, pre-certification, charge capture and accurate coding of diagnoses as directed by physicians. The role involves posting all payments, balancing with end-of-day reports, and coordinating with patients and insurers on claims.

You will liaise between patients and medical staff, greet visitors, and maintain accurate patient accounting records while supporting front desk functions and error resolution in outpatient

Qualifications

• Accurate patient registration and scheduling experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding is desirable.
• Experience with billing, pre-certification and posting payments is required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and collect required information.
• Code diagnoses and procedures as directed by physicians.
• Post payments and balance with reports at day end.
• Assist with insurance forms and claims processing.
• Greet patients and maintain front-desk operations.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies with patients and insurers.
