Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center Of Independence, Llc is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant (PSA) to provide continuous observation for high-risk patients, working with the nursing team to maintain a safe environment and reduce falls and self-harm risks. You will stay in sight of the patient, accompany them during transport, testing, and procedures, and participate in room assessments after visits.

Basic life support certification within 30 days and de-escalation training within 90 days are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Basic Life Saving Support certification required within 30 days of hire.
• De-Escalation Training required within first 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a direct line of sight with the patient at all times.
• Accompany patients during transportation, testing, and procedures away from the patient’s room.
• Establish a safe environment with fall prevention and infection control measures; monitor for self-harm risk.
• Perform room assessments regularly and after visits.
