Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Food Service Associate to handle patient meals on the main campus. You will assemble trays, deliver meals, and respond to patient dietary requests in collaboration with Nursing and the Dietitian on duty.

The role requires basic reading and writing, good communication, and a willingness to support patient satisfaction and hospital nutrition goals. Full-time hours on varied shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and reading/writing abilities.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient meal service on assigned units, including tray assembly and delivery.
• Communicate patient food issues to Food & Nutrition Services.
• Collaborate with Nursing on patient nutrition needs.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring NPO and modified diets.
• Record and analyze patient food intake.
• Ensure timely service and patient satisfaction.
