Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Part Time Patient Meal Room Service Associate to deliver meals to patients and support the Nursing team.

You will enter meal orders in the NFS software, ensure diet compliance, and maintain high standards of safety and service in a busy hospital environment. You will operate a patient meal call center, assist with menus, and coordinate with dietitians and care staff to ensure timely, accurate nutrition service while upholding infection prevention

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ foodservice or customer service experience.
ServSafe Food Handler and Allergen certifications within 90 days.
Ability to communicate in English and follow hygiene protocols.

Responsibilities

Provide meals to patients in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.
Operate a call center serving as the communication hub for Patient Meal Room Service.
Enter meal orders into nutrition software accurately and in a timely manner.
Verify patient identity, order accuracy, and dietary restrictions.
Deliver meals and snacks, assist with menu selections and dietary needs.
Washes hands, follows infection prevention practices, and maintains clean work areas.
Follow department work schedule and support other team members as needed.
Ensure patient satisfaction and participate in patient surveys as requested.
