Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of PCT training or CNA program or equivalent.
• CPR certification required.
• Preferred: hospital environment experience; prior healthcare experience.
• Current CNA licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care under the direction of an RN or LPN, including activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, feeding).
• Measure and record vital signs; monitor intake/output.
• Measure oxygenation with pulse oximetry.
• Obtain patient weight using appropriate scales.
• Report patient pain and changes in condition to an RN/LPN.
• Perform or assist with bathing, oral care, and shampooing.
• Observe skin integrity and ensure pressure relief with position changes.
• Measure, apply, and remove anti-embolism stockings.
• Apply and remove sequential-compression devices.
• Apply and remove Buck's traction after RN or PT initial application.
• Provide care per RN/LPN guidance according to the SKIN bundle.
