Job summary

Medical City Heart and Spine is seeking a Patient Care Technician on a PRN basis to support our nursing team and assist with daily patient needs. You will help with vital signs, mobility, and personal care under RN supervision, contributing to a safe and compassionate care environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and attention to patient comfort, with opportunities to advance as you support care plans and infection control efforts within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• CNA or PCT certification preferred.
• 1+ years hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Education

CPR/BLS within 30 days

CNA or PCT certification preferred
