Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Patient care experience strongly preferred through CNA/LNA/MA/ED Tech/EMT/PCT certificate or nursing student with at least one clinical rotation and BIDMC in-house training.
• Basic familiarity with computers and the ability to navigate basic web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with a registered nurse on developing a patient's care plan.
• Develops and maintains competencies as delegated by a registered nurse.
• Maintains the safety of patients at risk for preventable injury through nursing safety interventions or protective devices/equipment under supervision.
• Reports all patient activity to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
