Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 2 weeks of hire and maintained thereafter.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and assist with patient transfers.

Responsibilities

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with personal hygiene, restroom needs and daily activities.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nurses.
• Assist nursing staff with basic treatments as directed.
• Ensure rooms have supplies and linens are clean.
• Provide emotional support and patient comfort.
• Place patient on cardiac monitor when required.
• Perform blood glucose checks as needed.
• Follow directions from department leadership and respond to shifts.
