Atlantic Health System is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support doctors and nursing staff at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. The role focuses on meeting patients’ basic needs, including daily activities, feeding, and hygiene, while monitoring vital signs and assisting with mobility and transfers.

The position emphasizes compassionate patient care, teamwork with physicians and nurses, and proficiency with computer-based data management systems.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong interpersonal communication preferred.
• Patient, compassionate nature.
• Ability to operate as part of a team with physicians and nurses.
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, dressing.
• Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights.
• Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfers, discharges and ROM activities.
• Performs post mortem care.
• Performs EKG's, phlebotomy and blood glucose monitoring.
• Observes and reports changes in patients' condition to the RN.
• Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory.
• Other related duties as assigned.
