Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking staff to provide direct patient care and assist RNs in caring for stable patients. The role includes monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting admissions, discharges, and transfers.

You will work under RN supervision and participate in unit coordination and documentation in the EMR. Required: high school diploma or GED and ability to complete two weeks of training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to attend 2 weeks of training if minimal experience.
• Able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document direct patient care and activities (ADLs, vital signs, mobility, specimens, I/O, meals, etc.).
• Support quality and patient satisfaction initiatives and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Document vital signs, weights, I/O, and treatments; report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with unit activities such as stocking supplies and equipment cleaning.
