Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Sr Nursing Attendant for Unit 3500 Rehab on the Evening Shift. This role supports the professional nurse by performing assigned patient care tasks with compassionate, safe, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include safeguarding patient confidentiality, assisting with data collection for quality improvement, and coordinating with the nurse manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with hospital experience or CNA with EKG & Phlebotomy training.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse with patient care tasks and maintain safety and comfort.
• Contribute to data collection for Quality and Performance Improvement.
• Support unit operations, equipment, and supply management.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care.
