Job summary

Baptist Health - Central Alabama is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team in routine and non-complex patient care. The PCT assists RNs, LPNs, and Physicians, with duties within the scope of the role.

Required: High School diploma or equivalent and BLS certification; CNA or Health Occupations program preferred. May involve assisting with ADLs and vitals and responding to patient needs during the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA or Health Occupations program preferred.
• One clinical rotation or 1 year patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs, LPNs and physicians in routine patient care.
• Support non-complex patient care tasks as part of the patient care team.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs as directed.
• Support the patient care team during shifts.
