Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of a nurse assistant or patient care tech program, or related hospital program, or current nursing student, or 3 years of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and transport of patients.
• Updates and follows the plan of patient care under supervision.
• Collects and records vital signs as instructed by the nurse.
• Maintains patient safety and adheres to safety protocols.
• Performs routine duties and cleans and stocks the unit.
• Documents observations and patient information in the medical record.
