Job summary

Lansdale Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed clinical team. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care and respectful communication.

Responsibilities may vary by department; the PCT will support safety, assist with supplies, and may serve as a virtual safety associate when needed. A strong understanding of medical terminology and interprofessional teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Education - Preferred: PCT training program completion within 24 months of hire; Nursing Student with one semester clinical completed
• Experience - Preferred: Previous nursing assistant or healthcare experience preferred
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required: Knowledge of medical terminology, patient care needs and interprofessional team.
• Licenses and Certifications - Required: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Performs designated direct and indirect patient care activities under licensed clinicians.
• Interacts with coworkers, patients, families, and care partners to provide safe, compassionate care.
• Maintains supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Promotes a safe patient care environment and supports interprofessional team communication.
