Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our collaborative nursing team, supporting RNs in delivering hands-on care and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

You will assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, transfers, and personal care, while helping monitor conditions and carry out care plans. BLS certification is required within 30 days of starting.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality
