Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the nursing team with hands-on care and a welcoming patient environment. You will assist with vital signs, mobility and daily needs to help RNs carry out care plans.

You will help keep areas clean and stocked, manage supplies, and communicate with patients, families and the care team to ensure safety and quality. BCLS and NIC must be obtained within 30 days; no travel or prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No Travel Required.
• No experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keeping patient areas clean, organized and stocked for safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families and the care team to support safety and quality.
