ThedaCare, Inc. is seeking compassionate Patient Care Technicians for our inpatient rehabilitation unit located in the Orthopedic Spine and Pain Hospital. You will support nursing care on a 12-hour shift schedule with every 3rd weekend commitments and some holidays.

Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and supporting a multidisciplinary team to help patients regain independence. Prior healthcare experience and BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age required (except certain facilities).
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• American Heart Association HealthCare Provider Life Support (BLS)

Responsabilités

• Performs delegated patient care activities using evidence-based practice.
• Checks patients' vital signs, height, and weight as needed.
• Provides compassionate care and addresses patient questions and concerns.
• Identifies and escalates changes in patient status or risks.
• Collects clinical data and reports to care team.
• Repositions, transfers, ambulates and transports patients.
• Assists patients with basic needs (hygiene, eating, restroom, dressing).
• Obtains and reports patient intake and output.
• Performs ECGs and phlebotomy as directed.
• Delivers age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care.
• Maintains professional relationships with patients and staff.
