Job summary

Aultman Health Foundation is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join Memorial 6 East. The role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with daily living activities, specimen collection, and basic tests per physician orders.

Responsibilities include patient transfers, monitoring, and documenting care in Cerner. Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and basic computer skills; weekend and holiday rotations are possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR certification required.
• Basic computer skills are required for charting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient care under supervision of an RN.
• Perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility tasks.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care tests as ordered.
• Perform EKGs, Foley catheter removal, and bladder scans as directed.
• Document care in Cerner and maintain accurate charts.
• Assist with meals, nourishments, and menu assistance.
• Transport patients and assist with transfers and discharges.
• Maintain safety and infection control throughout shifts.
