San Luis Valley Health is seeking dedicated Support Technicians to assist nursing staff and care for hospitalized patients in a fast-paced environment. The role includes answering call lights, helping with daily patient care tasks, maintaining a safe, clean unit, and documenting patient information.

Part-time and full-time positions available with comprehensive benefits. You will bathe, dress, and turn patients; manage bed linens; assist with transfers and admissions; coordinate with nursing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, and the public.

Responsabilités

• Answer call lights, bells, or intercom systems to determine patient needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients.
• Changes bed linens.
• Serves food trays, as needed.
• Assists with turns and repositioning bedfast patients to prevent bedsores.
• Records fluid intake and output as directed.
• Cleans, stores, prepares, and issues supplies.
• Welcomes visitors and relays inquiries to nursing and physician staff.
• Arranges discharges by notifying receiving facility and patient transporter service.
• Makes follow-up appointments.
• Follows transfer protocols and assists with transfer coordination.
• Follows admissions/discharges procedures including routing and disposition.
• Maintains unit operations by following policies and reporting changes.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment according to infection control policies.
• Creates charts and files paperwork.
