Job summary

OhioHealth in Marion, OH seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant to support Registered Nurses in the Obstetrics Unit 1. You will help patients with daily living activities, monitor basic health data, and contribute to a supportive, respectful patient experience.

Under supervision, you will assist with vital signs, specimen collection, and documentation, while upholding high reliability and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, feeding, walking).
• Document vital signs and intake/output using portable devices.
• Support RN and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• 16–17 years old may work with valid work permit; 18-year-olds in HS may work without permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and units.
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and communicate urgent issues to staff.
• Support nursing tasks that are delegated and safe to perform.
• Assist in coordinating care and reporting observations to the RN.
