Hebrew SeniorLife is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA) to protect, sustain, and nurture residents in a caring, home-like environment. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain patient rooms, and support the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The role emphasizes patient dignity, independence, and collaboration within the clinical team. On-site, full-time positions with opportunities for ongoing training and growth are available in the Boston area.

Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred in good standing at hire or current enrollment in nursing school with first clinical experience.
• RSU PCA: CNA certification required in good standing at hire and ongoing.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Flexibility to work independently and collaboratively.
• Must complete mandatory HSL/HRC educational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and respond to patient and family needs.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing team.
• Adhere to Safe Patient Handling practices and maintain no manual lift environment.
• Participate in Quality Improvement programs.
• Assist with personal care as per care plans.
• Document care in the patient’s EMR.
• Report accidents, incidents, and potential abuse.
• Observe skin integrity and participate in daily care planning.
• Obtain vital signs and basic procedures as directed.
• Maintain infection control practices and confidentiality.
• Attend ongoing training and committee meetings as needed.
