Beth Israel Lahey Health's Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, MA is seeking a Patient Care Associate/Unit Coordinator for a full-time, rotating shift role. You will support patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, perform vital signs, assist with meals, and handle unit clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, with CNA preferred and BLS required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA Certification preferred but not required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, height/weight, oxygen saturation and monitor patient observations.
• Assist with daily activities and personal care to support patient comfort.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
• Assist with nutrition, room service setup and meal distribution.
• Handle clerical tasks and coordinate communications within the nursing unit.
