Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the Med Surg Unit 1 in providing direct patient care. You will assist RN staff with ADLs, monitor vitals, document accurately, and help ensure a safe, clean, and compassionate patient environment.

Responsibilities include patient transport, basic nursing tasks delegated by the RN, and collaboration with healthcare teams to uphold safety and quality standards across shifts. Day shift opportunity with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic nursing tasks under RN supervision.
• Willing to operate with safety and quality focus in a High Reliability Organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, eating, walking.
• Maintain patient rooms and unit cleanliness and safety; support other departments as needed.
• Collect data (height, weight, vitals) and document accurately in the chart.
• Assist in telemetry monitoring and report abnormal findings to the RN.
• Transport supplies, specimens, and assist with patient flow on the unit.
