Job summary

Visiting Angels Baytown, TX is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support seniors in the local Baytown area, including Anahuac, Mont Belvieu, and Crosby. This role focuses on compassionate one-on-one care, mobility assistance, and light household tasks.

You will receive training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care and become part of a community-minded team dedicated to helping families stay independent at home.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others and provide compassionate care
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Respectful, compassionate, and strong ethics
• Good time management and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Help clients with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able)
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
