The PCA supports the healthcare team, uses hospital computer systems, and communicates professionally to promote patient and family satisfaction. BLS certification is required, CPI training within 90 days of hire or transfer for psychiatric units.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Less than one year of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Crisis Prevention Institute training within 90 days of hire or transfer and annually for the Psychiatric unit.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and supportive services under the supervision of an RN.
